Texas Style Beef Brisket/Roast
This recipe can be made in the oven or on the grill. If using the grill you might want to use a thermometer to watch so the heat stays at 325 degrees.
3 pound beef brisket or roast
1 ½ cup onion, chopped
2 Tablespoons Honey mustard
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
! teaspoon chili powder
¼ cup red wine
¼ cup Tomato sauce
2 Tablespoon molasses
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place 24 inch length of heavy-duty aluminum foil in a 9 x 13 pan. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a medium bowl. Place the roast/brisket in the center of the foil, pour the sauce over the meat. Bring the ends of the foil together; fold over and continue folding down to the top of the meat. Fold the sides up to make a neatly sealed package. Bake 3 to 3 ½ hours, or until the meat is tender. Remove from the oven. Rim the excess fat and thinly slice the meat across the grain.
